HOW IT WORKS
The Music
This portion of the program is all about the music! Students will find one to two songs for each style of music they will be learning in the lessons. They'll be playing in a virtual band!
- They'll learn a variety of styles ranging between Rock, Pop, Metal, Country, Indie and Hip Hop!
- They'll practice along with full band backing track so they get to feel what it's like to play in a real band
- We'll record them playing along with the backing tracks and even make cool videos of their performances!
The Skills
This program will guide students through the basics of rock and pop guitar playing. It has been designed to build students skills and knowledge as they work through each lesson.
- We start out with the basics on the parts of the guitar, how to hold a pick, how to hold the guitar, how to read tabliture etc...
- We'll be covering how to play riffs, different rhythms, notes on the strings, simple chords, octaves, power chords etc...
- Students have access to more exercises and musical examples in our online classrooms where they can learn more at home.
LEARN MUSIC BY PLAYING MUSIC
No more boring exercises! Students practice short musical examples along with backing tracks which build up to a final example, which is taken from a song you'll be learning later.
- Learn how to play guitar through fun riffs and songs
- Students learn different techniques in each lesson
- Learn cool facts about the guitar and different rock stars
PLAY IN YOUR OWN ROCK CONCERT
Kids will be able to put on their own rock show for family and friends either in their own home or at the studio. They'll have fun planning and performing in their own private rock show!
These Kids Rockers Will
- Name their band or create a cool performing artist name
- Create flyers to promote the show to family and friends
- Plan their entrance and performance moves
- And of course put on their rockin' performance!
